Erica Lynn Coble, 44, was taken into custody by Lower Paxton police on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, and is facing multiple felony charges related to the case.
The investigation began when Lower Paxton Bureau of Police officers were called to the 6000 block of Linglestown Road for a reported overdose on Friday, March 17, 2023.
Arriving officers found the victim dead. The coroner later determined the primary cause of death was fentanyl toxicity, sparking a deeper investigation.
Coble was identified as a suspect in connection with the delivery of the fatal dose of fentanyl, according to investigators. She now faces several felony charges, including drug delivery resulting in death, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and criminal use of a communication facility.
Coble, who has a criminal record dating back to 2004, has prior offenses that include retail theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy, assault, and drug-related charges.
Her preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Grella on the day of her arrest, who set bail at $100,000, according to the police an confirmed by her latest court docket. Unable to post bail, Coble was remanded to Dauphin County Prison.
Her preliminary hearing is set before Magisterial District Judge William C. Wenner at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.
